In May, Mary and her staff opened
the new Ward 3 Constituent Services Office -- an initiative to increase

from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and is located at the

Request Center
From trash pick-up to traffic signals,
the Service Request Center makes it easy to submit requests online.
You'll receive a tracking number, allowing you to check the status
of your request. You
can also place a request for services by calling the Mayor's Citywide
Call Center.

Department
of Public Works
The Department of Public
Works (DPW) provides municipal services in two distinct program
areas: environmental services/solid waste management and parking
enforcement. Both contribute to making District streets and public
spaces clean, safe, attractive and accessible. DPW's Solid Waste
Management Administration performs a number of daily operations
including trash and recycling collection, sanitation education and
enforcement, graffiti removal, public littercan service, fall leaf
collection, and street and alley cleaning.

Metropolitan Police Department
One of the ten largest
local police agencies in the United States, the MPDC is the primary
law enforcement agency for the District of Columbia. Founded in
1861, the MPDC of today is on the forefront of technological crime
fighting advances, from highly developed advances in evidence
analysis to state-of the-art-information technology. These modern
techniques are combined with a contemporary community policing
philosophy, referred to as Policing for Prevention. Community

Fire and Emergency Medical Services
The DC Fire and
Emergency Medical Services Department provides fire protection
and medical attention to residents and visitors in the District
of Columbia. FEMS regularly offers programs to teach CPR, inspect
child car safety seats, educate the public on the importance of
smoke detectors, provides home fire safety inspections to ensure
a fire-safe environment. District residents may obtain a free
smoke detector and request a home fire safety inspection by calling

The The Department of
Mental Health (DMH) was established as a Cabinet-level department
in 2001. The agency provides comprehensive mental health services
to adults, children, youths, and their families. DMH also evaluates

The DMH Community Services Agency provides routine, urgent, and
emergency mental health rehabilitation services at mental health
centers in Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast Washington.
