	March 31, 2007 St. Columba's Environment Committee Cleans Up Rock Creek Park Members of St. Columba's Episcopal Church lead by Brent Blackwelder and John Wickham, Mary and some of her staff, and other concerned citizens participated in the city-wide 19th Annual Alice Ferguson Foundation Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. Brent gave historical environmental information about the area and explained how the newly created fish ladder helps fish make their way up the creek to spawn. Mary spoke to the group about some of the recent legislative initiatives she and her colleagues at the Council have created to help make D.C. a model city for good environmental policy and practices.
