Councilmember Kwame Brown, Chair of the Committee on Economic Development; Councilmember Michael Brown, Chair of the Committee on Housing and Workforce Development; Councilmember Mary Cheh, Chair of the Committee on Government Operations and the Environment; Councilmember Phil Mendelson, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and the Judiciary; and Councilmember Harry “Tommy” Thomas, Jr., Chair of the Committee on Libraries, Parks and Recreation, announce a Public Oversight Roundtable on the Settlement Agreement with Banneker Ventures, LLC. The roundtable will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 500 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. This notice has been abbreviated to provide timely notice to the public.
The purpose of this roundtable is to review the settlement agreement between the District of Columbia and Banneker Ventures, LLC.
The public is invited to testify in person or submit written testimony, which will be made part of the official record. Those wishing to testify may contact Mr. James Pittman of the Committee on Libraries, Parks and Recreation via e-mail at

Whereas public witnesses are permitted three minutes for their oral presentation, agency witnesses are permitted five minutes for testimony. If you are unable to testify at the roundtable, you are encouraged to submit written testimony to the Secretary to the Council, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 5, Washington, D.C. 20004 within 3 business days of the scheduled roundtable.
