The Committee on the Environment, Public Works, and Transportation is responsible for matters relating to environmental protection regulation and policies. Also, highways, bridges, traffic, vehicles, and other transportation issues; the regulation of taxicabs; maintenance of public spaces; recycling; waste management; and water supply and wastewater treatment.

How to Testify
The Council invites citizens to testify at public hearings. Council Rules require notification to the public in the DC Register at least 15 days before the hearing. Typical, notice is published in the DC Register, which can be accessed at dcregs.org.
