Thank you for visiting my new website. It is my goal to make this website a virtual online office to assist you in your dealings with my office and your government. Here you will find information about the communities within Ward 3, updates on my work at the Council, contact information for all of my staff, and tools to help you as a resident of the District of Columbia. It remains my hope that this website will bring me closer in touch with you and will serve as a model for how the internet can improve democracy. Please let me know how we are doing.
Weekly Update -- July 26, 2010
The Council recently went into summer recess from July 15th through September 15th. Recess means that, with rare exceptions, the Council may not take official action. It is not however "time off" as my Council office is abuzz with constituent work and research and preparation on reports and bills for action in September. This week, I will be sending a “recess recap” to highlight some of the major activities that have been concluded and to discuss a few projects yet to come. Recess notwithstanding, it's been a busy time at the Council.
